I think so. He was the last excellent President. When he took office the nation was nearly destroyed... he saved the country from Wilson's destructive policies.

He ended WWI without joining the League of Nations
He secured good relations with the countries wilson made enemies of
He cut tax rates across the board.
He paid off a portion of the federal debt.
Unemployment dropped sharply.

For liberals, he started the first welfare program.

He was also said to be one of the nicest Presidents we've ever had.

I believe he was also the last super popular President when he was actually President.

I heard that Hamilton was a hero of his, but that doesn't really bother me.

As for the corruption charges... he didn't really know about the corruption that was going on and it wasn't like he endorsed it. The people who were corrupt were arrested anyway.

Instead, how about we do two sister monuments. Mt Rockmore with the likenesses of Jimmy Hendrix, John Lennon, Jim Morrison, and Janis Joplin. Then we can have Mt Rapmore with Tupac, Biggie, Nate Dogg, and ... we need some diversity so Vanilla Ice?

Better Warren G Harding than obama. But I think an excellent choice would be Calvin Coolidge. Unfortunately he doesn't get the credit that he deserves and he really should be honored.
