Can anyone actually believe that it brings Good Luck anymore?

I think that Myth has been Busted.

Can anyone actually believe that anything brings good luck? Rabbits' feet, goldfish, etc.

It's all nonsense.

Yeah, while I don't believe in good luck objects, wearing a swastika is probably a surefire way to bring bad luck on yourself, especially if a big, angry, Jewish guy is around.

It's not like the swastika is just a simple good luck charm for those who practice Hinduism or Buddhism. It is much more closely tied to religion and can be considered close to a sacred symbol if I remember correctly, similar to the Christian cross. Will plastering a cross all over the place really make you closer to god? I doubt it, but it is still a symbol that evokes emotion and is considered sacred or powerful.

But if it is used in the counter-clockwise form, people will still mistake it for the Nazi swastika.

Ya'll are right, it should be retired indefinatly. Unless something wierd happens, like we all wake up and it's actually the year 3241 and everything we lived was just a simulation.

Holy crap that would be cool.

One is responsible for one's own ignorance, no one else is. Besides, the NAZI one is tilted 45 degrees. So it is not the same. Just because some dumbasses decide to copy the swastika doesn't mean it should be banned for life.

Hell, there is a town (and consequently a school) called Swastika here in Ontario. You don't see the town changing its name.

Who needs a symbol of good luck? I'd rather have the actual good luck, myself. A swastika is a lot more likely to bring you smashed windows, dentist bills, or creepy bald friends with closets full of assault rifles.

Funny you should ask. There's a guy around here who has a Nazi flag in his window. He's quite strange, though friendly and polite. You won't believe his last name. Yes, his last name actually is...

...

...Lynch.

Well, have you talked to him about it? Ask him why he hates jews/blacks/latinos/whatever it is he hates.. I don't know if it's just me, but some of these people really know what they're talking about, and even though I disagree with the message (and I think it's wrong), I can almost see where they're coming from.

I mean, I knew one creepy, bald guy whose fathers' business was bought over by some jews and they practically starved. He got in touch with the wrong people (at least, that's what we think.. Who's to say we're right and they're wrong?) and now he's a neo-nazi.

Yes, the swastika should come back as a symbol of good luck for the Republican party.
It should be plastered everywhere, with the word Republican placed next to it.

Did you also learn that the cross had a VERY negative connotation before the Christians made it otherwise?
