Lol I was wondering why it looked a little pregnant. I’m used to just virgin cheese on my grilled cheese sandwich.
Ah. These are no ordinary grilled cheese sandwiches.

Normal sandwich presses have two flat (or grooved) heating plates. Which is fine for cheese or ham.
Proper British Toasty makers have deep scalloped plates so you can make fat, greasy, toasted delights full of the most unhealthy things you can think of! Be careful with jam though! Put enough in and its like napalm!

Those look disgusting.

The best grilled cheese are made in a pan on the stove with lots of butter.
