I don't need to go to Saudia Arabia to see the effects of religion. There's a public park just outside my office building, and every evening a van full of nuns pulls up to hand out food to the homeless. They don't make 'em say a prayer first or grow a beard or anything - they just give some hungry people some free food. So hateful! 🙄 You're an idiot.

I dont think it needs to be banned. To each their own. Whatever gets them through the day. But i do wish it would remain behind close doors and not preached to the rest of the world who doesnt want to hear it. Religion should be a personal thing between you and whatever god you worship. Keep it that way.

No. The Sisters in the park feeding the homeless have grown up in a vastly different world than the one that existed in the middle ages. I doubt they would even want the power to force women to not wear bikinis much less draw and quarter them. Women running around in bikinis in the middle ages would have never made it far enough to encounter nuns in a park, there would have been plenty of middle ages males ready to drag them off in the bushes to have their way with the harlots running around nearly naked just asking for it. The world has changed greatly in 600 years.

Thats terribly insulting. i know many people , myself included in which that is not the case, i help people , i give the ones in need and im a non-believer. i help because i want to help them, i feel compassion, i suffer when i see injustice and im compelled to do what i can to right a wrong.

i do all of this while being a non-believer.

Religious people do them because you expect a reward (or fear a punishment) when you die.

Well I think many here associate Faith with religion. So their minds are clouded. Remove the vail of religion being faith . Faith is the knowing or belief in a thing . Without it you couldn't get out of bed. We as humans need to livea certain way to be on path of enlightenment and understanding . The Christ model is perfect lifestyle to live for enlighterment but may or maynot be the only way . The model could be an ant farm or beehive. But were human and the Christ model is the best I have seen. Threw faith you live your life . Becareful wear you place that Faith.
