Should my 3dMark 06 score be higher?

I haven't overclocked yet, I'm using default settings:

System Specs: Core Duo E6750 2.66GHz, 2gigs crucial ram, 8800GTS 320mb, GIGABYTE P35-DS3R Mobo, Tuniq Tower CPU Cooler.

I have higher scores than you (roughly 11k~ at 1024x768, about 8.5k at 1680x1050), but my CPU is at 3.2ghz and my vid card (also an 8800GTS 320mb) is at 600/1800.

Yes, 3dmark06 is very dependant on your CPU speed. Oc to around 3.0Ghz and you'll see 10k at the very least.

i have about the same exact build (see rig below) and about the same score (8350 if i remember correctly)

I have only slightly lower with a x2 3800+ @ 2.5ghz and a 8800gts at stock. So you're score isn't completely off but could easily be higher.

I almost have the same rig as you. See Sig below.

My 3dmark 06 score is 9309 (@3.2 )
My 3dmark 06 score is 10655 (@3.2, vidcard 600/1000)
