SHOULD JORDAN COME BACK?

personally i dont think he should come back.
i mean, i know that he's done so much for basketball and that he's probably the greatest ever...so why should he come back and put his reputation at the test?
if he comes back and isnt the amazing Jordan that we've watched for years then what?
he's gonna have high expectation from fans that he will not be able to fulfill completely.
he cant expect to come back and win a championship either with the wizards this year...and its gonna be a loooong while before the wizard ever get into championship form.
so if he's not going for a title why come back at all?...i mean the goal in the NBA is the title...

the only reason i would want him to come back is so all the younger guards can school him...since Jordan had schooled everyone for years...=)
i'd love to see Iverson break his ankles...AI!!!

speaking of AI.
the all-star game is gonna be played in Philly.
so who is gonna start at 2 guard?...AI or Jordan?
i mean the game is in Philly...AI owns Philly...but Jordan is back.
Kidd is also in the east now and he may start at point...unless they move AI over at 1.

but Jordan's return should make fantasy bball alittle interesting...

I hope he comes back and then leaves again.... then comes back and leaves again. Then, just for a little spice, he comes back, pretends to leave again, then says he is kidding and stays, then he leaves.

You stole my idea 🙁

He should not come back!! I like Jordan and all but just cause the team you own sux doesnt mean suiting up and tring to run the court again.

Thats why there are not many recent retireies that are owners, they cant stand to sit on the sidelines helpless.

On the point of Jordan "getting schooled" doubtfull but it would be unbearable to watch knowing how good he was.

Sorry, there are more cryptic things you could say though. Its easy with a topic as ridiculous as this one 😉
Personally, I think he should choose one and go with it, publicity stunts are not as entertaining as you are led to believe.

don't they just pick 2 guards to start, with no differentiation between point or shooting?

NBA is gonna instate the first retiring/unretiring law because of him. once your out, STAY OUT

I really hope he comes back and really tarnishes his image. I hope he comes back and is merely an above average player who can no longer dominate. A guy who gets spanked by Tracy McGrady, Kobe, Iverson, Ray Allen, Big Dog, I really hope he comes back and the Wizards go like 30-52 or some crap like that. Then he'll shut up, retire, and go away once and for all.

LOL.

Personally I wish he wouldn't because he isn't in chicago where I still am. 😉 Actually I think it will still be quite entertaining - he will not be as athletic but will be a floor general like none other and bring instant maturity to the team. He'll also have some nice 30-40 point games because no one will ever be able to guard his fadeaway when its on. To bad he'll be on such a crappy team that he will have to play all of the 4th qtrs, where in Chicago he could take 1/2 of them off and rest, and let the scrubs finish the game because of the lead that the starters built.

The thing Jordan has over Kobe and Iverson is consistency - Kobe and Iverson put out high number of points in games but then come back the next game and barely get over 15 points. Jordan was almost always solid.

haha, i thought you meant jordan, the country, into the potential coming conflict.

honestly, who gives a fvck about basketball at a time like this.

I'm so sick of these old people having to be carried off the court / field b4 they finally hang it up --- Note to MJ.....stay in the office. Don't diminish your legacy.

why not?

Freedom of speech and freedom of actions except criminal like actions. I am behind him 100 percent except that he isnt my favorite player. However, it is his decision and we should be supportive of anyone who wants to pursue his passion or love or creativity (of the game).

That's classic that someone referenced, "Freedom of speech and freedom of actions except criminal like actions." in a thread about whether or not MJ should come back -- hehehe --

one thing though, people compared Kobe to MJ during the last finals, and I gotta tell ya Kobe is NOWHERE near as dominant as MJ was at the same stage in their careers. MJ simply took over games, hell Kobe is second fiddle on his team!

I don't think he should, but he says he is doing it for the love of the game, and he doesn't care if he leaves on a lower note next time.

Jordan won't be school at all. He'll be like John Stockton and he doesn't have to be the "old" Jordan to be effective.

I don't mean to knock the Bulls but the other team members weren't all that good, which helped Jordan to shine. Jordan never had to compete with the most dominant player in the game for the spotlight.

If he does come back he'll be just holding the evolution of the game back. I think that alot of rules will be changed since nobody wants to see the "greatest player of all time" being banged around by some 20yr old rookie. His time has come and gone and he'll be only tarnishing his rep and place in the history of basketball.

His little confrontation with AI was a bit on the embarassing side and the outcome was that refs immediately started calling carries frequently. This of course got rid of a whole lot of creative things that can be done with the ball that just makes the game more fun.
