Hopefully I'm being vague enough that this will avoid a lock. Who knows though, I don't frequent this forum often enough to be %100 sure.

My buddy and I got somehow (don't ask) got into a conversation wherein we found out that all of mine float and all of his sink. He could hardly comprehend that all of mine floated.

What factors determine this phenomena, and what is the ideal situation.

I just added a poll :)

I don't know what determines what, but mine sink like there's a core of solid iron.

This one time, I SWEAR, one was floating while another in the same batch sank to the bottom

depends on the size.. small ones float. big ones sink.. huge ones stick out of the water..

but if you concentrate, you can make them act like torpedoes and disappear into the bottom!

Nah, it depends on the density, not size. totally different things... although I have no clue what effects the density.

and the torpedoes you refer to are called "ghost p00"

I thought floaters contained more fat-biproducts, which would be bad.

When you eat a lot of fiber, they sink. Meat, they float.

Laurenlex is correct. Blieb has it 100% backwards. You always want it to float. If it doesn't, change your eating habits. Specifically, try to get more fiber until they float.

More fiber = lower weight = healthier.
More fiber = more gas produced = floaters.

Actually, YOU'VE got it backwards. Floating stool is indicative of a lot of fat content......technical name is seborrhea or steatorrhea, idiopathis; excessive fat in the stool characterized by impaired absorption of fat by the intestinal tract. The most extreme example can be seen with fat streaks in the stool. Floaters ain't good.

This thread is confusing. I'm going to poop in my closet until this gets sorted out.
