Should Intel be sued for false advertisement?

Impressive Computing Experience Get the Intel-level performance you’ve come to expect. The NUC5CPYH is powered by Intel Celeron N3050 dual core processor (2.6GHz), delivering awesome computing power to accelerate everything you do. Monstrous amount of data can be handled in no time. The integrated Intel HD graphics offers discrete-level graphics performance, so you can enjoy rich details whether you’re playing videos, or editing text/photos.

Cherry Trail? Discrete-level performance? Who are they kidding? This level of false advertisement is far worse than "compute cores".

Well, it is probably as fast as the Radeon 9600 I had in 2006. "Discrete level" is so general as to be pretty much meaningless. I actually would consider the "massive power to breeze through any applications" equally as deceptive, since cherry trail is probably more anemic in cpu power than gpu. I agree it is deceptive, but since no specific claim is made, I think it would be difficult to sue.

It definitely is "awesome computing power" compared to the 8088 that started the PC evolution. Since they give no time frame or other reference.. I don't see it as deceptive at all.

As far as I am aware, the "Overview" page section at Newegg are supplied by the vendor.

You should learn to google. And when you look at Googles result you would know where the issue is. That you didn't get the other completely wrong information just makes it even more tragicomic.

What am I missing? I just websearched the phrase in my post, and all it came up with was a bunch of NUC reviews.

And yes, the Newegg info lists the wrong clock speed as well. Do I need to spell everything out for you?

There is no other place than Newegg that comes up in Google with that exact phrase.

You can change your misleading topic. Unless the purpose of the thread is something entirely different as you may have stated yourself.

Just trying to keep it "fair and balanced" around here.

Are you suggesting that the information in that "Overview" section is NOT from Intel?

Just like this overview section is NOT from Samsung, correct?

Edit: And this overview is NOT from Antec...?

Edit: And not all products even have an "Overview" section. Does that mean that Newegg's web team is just lazy...? Or the the vendor hasn't supplied web ad content for their product?

You do know its Newegg that does it right? They get a product flyer at best and then tries to fit it in.

Now tell me how much resemblance you see.

Also if it was Intel supplied. Isnt it odd that NO ONE ELSE IN THE WORLD BUT NEWEGG got it?

The bolded part should be the biggest hint you can get.

Not really. Intel does co-marketing stuff all the time.

I think that suggesting that all of those overview pages are somehow completely Newegg's doing to be rather dubious, considering that sometimes, Newegg can't even get product pictures properly done.

You really think that they go to the trouble of multiple press-ready graphics, and multiple 3D renders, just to sell one product?

I'm going to invoke Occam's razor here, and say I think that you are wrong.

Edit: Also, do you think that Newegg creates (completely) these web ads (for Intel's product), and that Intel totally does not even look at them, or sign off on them? That Newegg alone is solely at failt here, for the co-marketing, just because it's on Newegg's servers?

Does that mean that VW is not responsible for the "clean diesel" marketing, but rather all of their dealers should be, individually?
