The Opty 170s are so tempting, and I've been comtemplating for a week if I should get one or not.
I currently have a system with 3800+ running at 2.65ghz (1.48v)
What should I do?

If your 3800+ is an X2 why bother? You might get another 100mhz o/c, maybe not, definately not worth the trouble.

I agree and more likely will only get to 2700 with no difference in performance except in rare case
