Should I.........

Should I get a different HSF or will the stock one that comes with the retail chip be good enough? I don't plan on OCing too much but at the same time I want to make sure if I do stays cool. I've been looking at the ThermalTake Venus and the Thermalright XP-90. I've put almost $600 into this upgrade in the last 2 weeks between new video card, CPU, mobo, and RAM that I don't really wnat to put anymore $$ into but on the other hand whats another $35.

The stock HSF should be able to keep the temps decent at stock(ish) speeds. Also, using a different one voids the warranty on the CPU.

I say go for it, but keep an eye on your temps. If they go too high, get an XP-90 or 120.

Thanks guys. One more question. How much of a pain is it to remove the thurmal paste thats on the retail heatsink once its been on the CPU for a while?

Thanks. As I said I just don't want to put any more money into this thing right now. My birthday is coming up in a few months so i'll have my girlfriend get it for me. 😀
