Should i worry about these temps?

my temps are completely seasonal. right now its summer, and its humid outside and hot in my room

my idle is about 53-54c and load is 56-57c
i have an alpha pal6035 + ys tech fan
asus a7v133
tbird 1ghz

should i worried about this?

My Asus A7V133 seems to read temps high as well, so I think that sounds reasonable. Maybe a bit high though

Just wondering what the differentials are.

That does sound pretty high for a 1Ghz, at least to this newbie.

What program are you using to monitor temps?
Asus PCProbe tends to read about 10C higher than MBM5 and BIOS!

i don't know the case temps, but the weather outside feels like 35 c. and my room is probably a few degrees cooler than that

50c is the max full load cpu temp for me! I had to work on it for a while, but now I get 46c full load, I'm happy. You could try lapping your heatsink, use artic silver if your not, pop a delta on there if you can stand the noise, pull your case cover off during the summer, use extra 80mm fans in the case, or try a blow hole.

You can't cross-compare your temps to an a7v133. the a7v series reads socket-thermistor readings nad interprets them differently than the KT7 series. Take the same cpu/cooling setup on an a7v133 and it will run 5-8C cooler on the KT7 on average, just because of how the two motherboards read temps differently.

Mike's right! I have both boards and the same cpu runs close to 10c cooler according to the Abit KT7A Raid Bios. I love my Asus A7V133 though. Its the best board I have ever owned!

If the system is stable then there is nothing to worry about, provided the temperatures do not exeed 70C its fine, AMD recommends temps no higher then 95C. Don't plan on too much overclocking though. I don't overclock because I prefer a rock stable system too an overclocked one

i've proven that my high temps are caused by my hot house. just yesterday i went to a lan party. it was in my friends basement with the air conditioner on. so it was quite cool. my idle temp was in the low 40s and load was in the mid to high 40s (with the case closed). that's quite a difference from the 50s that i'm used to getting with the case open.

so i guess i just have to wait to get a/c 🙂

your system will be fine as long as you don't start locking up or anything like that.. but still that is a little high, my rig is a kt7a with a 1ghz axia oc'd to 1.425 at the moment and I'm in a room hot as hell, my temps have only risen alittle do to my case cooling.. I was idling at 27c before the summer now at 30c.. maybe you should think about some more cooling just incase...good luck

My system is on an A7V133 (1.33gig Tbird) with the big honking copper gladiator and it runs idle about 47C and load is about 56C. This is in an air conditioned room about 30C.

The A7V133 definitely reads temps high.
