Should I worry about rabbits living under my deck?

My fiancee and I moved into our current house 6 months ago. We have noticed two rabbits probably live under our back deck. The deck is about a foot off the ground, and is bordered by criscossing 2 inch wood slats. There are some openeings big enough for the rabbits, and we have seen the rabbits go under the deck before. We assume they are living under there? Should we be worried about this at all?

i'd be more worried about mice/rats... my neighbor has a deck like that, and well, they cook a lot out there and lots of food apparently get stuck down there... there have been a few complaints about rodents :(

We don't live in the back country, and are not planning to eat the rabbits.

rabbits are cute.

EDIT: However, when it turns into a colony, I'd think about getting the orbitor ready.

Well, if they die or something under our deck, we are screwed, because we would have to rip up our deck to get the carcaus out from under it.

I don't want them pooping under the deck, cause they would probably smell really bad after a while in the Chicago summer.

We planted some bulbs, and they already started to much at the sprouting ones, so we had to put a fence up and around them.

Worst case scenario: they are insane with rabies, will sneak into your house and rip out your jugular while you sleep.

Best case scenario: they are the fabled Mariachi Bunnies of Frobozz, and will turn into a naked undersexed supermodel, a pizza and a keg if you catch them.

Most likely scenario: they are harmless, leave them alone.

You should have no problem unless they have babies and a cat gets in thier. This will usually happen at about three in the morning and sound as though the gates of hell are opening up beneath your house. It really sounds like a bunch of children screaming for thier lives and is pretty unnerving in the middle of the night.

Rabbits are harmless and fun to watch. The only possible problem could be them eating plants in your garden but other than that they aren't much of a nuisance....especially if they are living under the deck and not burrowing in the yard. If you start feeding them I bet you can semi-tame them over time. Rabits are fun....I have one wiggling it's nose at me as we speak.

not unless they start getting rowdy and having parties lasting until all hours of the night. then you should evict them.
