Should I worry about rabbits living under my deck?

Rabbits are pests. You've already noticed them munching on your plants. The "fence" you put up around your bulbs won't hold them forever. I suggest setting some traps and getting rid of them before they breed. Either that or get a cat to take care of them. The problem is that your cat might leave dead bunnies under the porch, which is something you'd rather avoid.

I'd start by setting traps and either releasing them in the country (or a large city park) OR drowning them.

Rabbits are pretty benign. Incidently, so is their poop, so I doubt you'd ever notice any smell.

The only harm rabbits do is they eat your plants, so avid gardeners prefer to keep them away.

Only thing to worry about is if they poop and pee under the deck. Then it could start to smell. But they aren't going to do damage to the deck or anything. Just plant lots of nice pretty flowers for them to eat...

Worst case scenario: they are insane with rabies, will sneak into your house and rip out your jugular while you sleep.

Best case scenario: they are the fabled Mariachi Bunnies of Frobozz, and will turn into a naked undersexed supermodel, a pizza and a keg if you catch them.

Most likely scenario: they are harmless, leave them alone.
Haha😀

Yes. They may seem harmless now, but eventually their numbers will grow, and they will grow contemptuous of their subterranean abode. They will look longingly at your wonderful house, and begin to think how nice it would be for them to live there. Once they have reached critical mass, they will storm your house and replace you in a bloody coup...

Wait, no. That's rebels. Rabbits don't do anything harmful, and they're nice to look at.

I'm going to try and build a trap over the weekend out of wood... If I catch 'em I'll drop them of in a local forest preserve...

I guess, if there are a lot of them.

You could rabbit-proof the deck by installing new plastic lattice with smaller openings and making sure it's sunk about 6 inches in the ground. (Plastic won't rot underground.) You could also staple chicken wire to the back side of the lattice and extend the chicken wire 6 inches underground. Just make sure all the rabbits are evicted just before you finish the job, because you wouldn't want to trap any under there.

Rabbits are harmless... also, don't believe the overpopulation crap - once they have a litter of little ones, the little ones will leave when they grow old enough.

Harmless, cute, no hazards to you, I say, enjoy them. btw, what if they're bunny husband and wife... if you only manage to catch one of them and relocate it, you'll be splitting up their household. Big meany!

edit: btw, Yes, they are delicious. I prefer them cooked in a nice wine sauce.
