Should I watch Season 1 of "Heroes"?

A bunch of my friends back in 2006 all tried to get me into Heroes when it came out, but for whatever reason I never got into it. I haven't watch a single episode, actually. Those same friends collapse into the fetal position and start sobbing uncontrollably when asked about the series now, but I've been wondering, was Season 1 as good as people made it out to be? Also, was it a complete story, or would there be a million unresolved plot holes left over after it was done?

I'm sticking with the show, too. It did turn disappointing in later seasons, but is still entertaining to watch. It seemed to get derailed and went awfully cyclical after season 1, though, as if they used all their creative writing skill and plot in the first season.

Actually I would watch season 2 as well, it's short and still I don't feel ther series truly jumps the shark till the end of season 2.

However don't watch past season 2 whatever you do! I'm watching season 4 and the writers still have no idea what the fuck they are doing. They need to kill off like 1/2 the characters and get back to fucking basics.
 
i still follow it only because i enjoy the visuals of the cool powers.

but i honestly have no fucking idea whats going on anymore. sucks that they nerfed the cool characters though (wont say who).

Yeah, season 2 is worth watching. Just stop it at the end before they lead into the next "chapter." I did start to watch season 3 and just lost complete interest in it. It's very rare for me to just stop watching a show in the middle of a season long arc but Heroes made me do it.
 
No, season 1 is overrated. Paper thin plot dragged out among too many episodes. The show is defined by lack of progress from episode to episode. Then you have the season 1 finale which was a joke.


Watch the 4400 if you want a similar show done better.
