Should I wait for ATI 6000 series or just go ahead with 5870/5970?

AMD is launching the Phenom ][ X6 and the 890FX "Leo" enthusiast platform next week. I would wait a couple of weeks and more information might be out by that time.

Personally I am going to sit this round out because there are no DirectX 11 games out I plan to play / purchase. My DX10 hardware is currently up to the task.

Wow,
No BFBC2?
No Metro 2033?
No Dirt 2?

Those three alone are some of the best games currently out for PC.

Upcoming Crysis 2, Grid 2, BF1943, Civilization V.

We barely have any DX11 titles out, they are going to take a long time to appear and very few are expected to be out this year. When games start giving my 4870 too much difficulty, I will consider upgrading, and maybe that will be a 6870, might go well with a BullDozer upgrade too.

That site is agonizingly slow, takes about half a min to scroll to the bottom.

It feelt strange when nVidia reused the 8500 and 9800 nomenclature of the ATi's Radeon 8500 and 9800 and now AMD will use the 6800 cards, AMD Radeon HD 6870 Ultra anyone?

Won't Sandy Bridge use a 4 digit model number too? It'll be really strange if Intel's CPU model number matches AMD's GPU model.
