If you read the reviews (KT7A), you will see that they are all done on 100 FSB TBirds and run at up to 148 Mhz depending on the memory used, some on unlocked 1 GHz, and some on 1.2 GHz.

Many people are finding that the 1.2 GHz are shipping "Unlocked".

The 266 FSB will be available shortly, WTF get one and tell us.

With the KT7A you'll get virtally the same performance as a ddr system. And with sdram being so cheap now, that's another advantage to getting the KT7A.

I think you missed the question and am not sure what you are responding to. He wanted to know whether or not to wait for the new t-birds w/ the fsb of 266.

i went for the 200 FSB chip, it's not worth the hassle and the wait, not to mention the price to go for a 266 FSB chip. once they really do hit i highly doubt the performance will differ any from a 200 FSB original chip w/ a lowered multiplier.
