My computer recently started rebooting and I've spent weeks trying to figure out the problem. One thing I overlooked was just before my PC started rebooting I placed two 512mb sticks in dual channel mode. My Intel board supports Dual Channel but my memory is Non-ECC, and Non-Dual Channel. The brand name is Ultra so I'm not sure if that's a good brand or not.
Should I be able to run Non-Dual channel memory in dual channel mode without any problems? I've only been able to test the PC for a few hours after changing the memory back to single channel. I didn't have any reboots but it's completely random and could happen today or two days from now.
Thanks
Computer specs:
Processor ? Intel Pentium 4, 3.0 GIG, 800MHZ FSB, HT Technology

RAM ? 1 GIG PC3200 DDR400 Ultra (Non-Dual Channel)
Hard Drive ? 120 GIG, Maxtor SATA, 7200rpm, 8mb cache
Video Card ? ATI 9800 Pro, 128MB RAM (Catalyst 4.12 Drivers)
Power Supply ? Ultra 400Watt
