i have a p5Q pro...
8800gt
E6750 water cooled.

should i upgrade to
Ati 4850

my 8800gt runs very hot i added a water to it and didn't work very well then the seal broke. on the heat sink damaged my mother board... so i upgraded to a P5Q Pro...

now when playing wow it laggs and freezes... i rma'ed the 8800gt
i don't oc i just enjoy low temps...

i have a 600w OCZ StealthXGame i think thats what its called lol
would it be worth it or should i stick with the 8800gt

i was also thinking about upgrading the CPU to a Q9450 not to sure if it will be anything major...

(i posted in the wrong place last time sorry..)

mostly used for wow and crysis etc wanting to play spore when it comes out and i want to beable to not worry about slow down for the next couple years

the E6750 does not need upgrading at all. neither does the 8800gt

they are both fine for all of todays game ( 8800gt plays everything out @ max except crysis ofc)

Nothing you buy now (especially in terms of graphics cards) is going to play games at the highest settings for several years with no slow downs. If you don't mind turning down the settings a bit, your 8800GT will be fine for a couple years. I certainly wouldn't put money into a 4850 right now if you've already got an 8800GT. Wait at least six months or so before you worry about spending more money, you have a pretty fast computer.
