Should I upgrade video card or wait?

Hello, this is my first post. I need help...I have a 933 megahertz Intel Pentium III, 256mb 133 system ram(not sure of brand) ASUSTeK PEGASUS REV 1.xx 133 bus, Pny G4mx420 Pci Card. I plan on buying a new system next year but in the meantime I still want to play with my current rig and get decent framerates(at least 30fps). I play UT2003 and at normal settings I average between 20 to 30fps @ 1024x768 16bit resolution. My question is should I upgrade the video card with the Radeon 9100 Pci for $100? Will there be a noticable performance boost, or will my processor be the bottleneck?

Thanks in advance.

wait till next year, upgrading your video card on that system would be a bottleneck and next year you will be able to get a much better video card for the same price.

oh yeh, welcome to the forums:beer:

Welcome to the forums. To answer your question, no, a Radeon 9100 will not increase performance (at least not noticeably). I would wait and do a complete overhaul on your system later, as any new card would be bottlenecked by your CPU and ram.

Thanks for the welcome, and the advice...I will wait untill next year and get a new system. Has anybody dealt with ibuypower.com?? There warranty doesn't sound that great, so my only other option is a Dell...I am not tech savy so building one is out of the question and I am very impatient...your thoughts??
