I am currently running the 43.45 version of the detonators. I have a GeForce 4 Ti4600. SHould I update to the latest Det's, and will there be a nice performance increase?

I know, but it's so tempting. Does anyone know if there is a significant performance boost with the Ti4600 to warrant the reinstallation of the Detonators?

I am using the 44.03's on a GF3 Ti200, and noticed an increase in IQ, but as far as performance, not a BIG gain, but little...maybe 1-3fps? I know this is THE ONLY version of the 40's series drivers that will work on my Tribes 1 game, and it runs flawlessly. If the GF3 will run it, the 4 should also and they are from NV, not beta. While not WHQL, they ARE WHQL for GeForce FX cards.

I`m using the latest 44.03 drivers with my GF2 Ti and I would say you won`t see much difference in performance, however I agree with Shamrock the image quality with the latest drivers is excellent,so worth upgrading IMHO.

You should definately use the latest beta drivers, 44.65, if you play any of the grand theft auto games. I noticed smoother gameplay, especially when it rains in the game. The was some overall boost, probably around 2fps, in my other games.

Ah, the misperception. Actually, the 44.xx only add performance bosst for the FX cards - the driver code for 4xxx remains unchanged since 43.xx. You just BELIEVE that something actually changed, but it didtn

So dont change the drivers.

Unless there's something wrong with the Fraps program, I do get an increase inspeed. It is best noticeable for me because I have a gf4ms440, which lags ALOT when playing vice city when it starts to rain. After installing the 44.65, it still lags from normal, but the overall game was alot smoother.

Alright, so I guess I will just stay with my 43.45. beserkfury15: I don't like running things beta, especially drivers.

I have a Ti420064MB. I use the 40.72. I tried the 44 03, but it took 200 marks off my 3d mark score.

The 44.03's are OFFICIAL drivers from NV, found on NV's site. I dont have to believe him, I know for a FACT there is a speed boost (although not much) because I tested the different drivers with 13 differnet games, and on average, I did gain between 2-8 fps, depending on the game. The 44.03's also have better IQ than previous drivers.

The best thing to do is try them, if you dont like them, just uninstall them, and go back to your 43.45's.

U sure bout that? There are tons of other variables, other than drivers that can alter performance. Well, i've *tested* Cat 3.4 too! (BUT i did a clean install) and got a whopping 3.4 fps increase over 2.4!!!
