should i upgrade or crossfire

money is an issue so i can crossfire which will require me to buy a more expensive board than i had planned not to mention also a new psu or should i just upgrade from a radeon 6770 to a 78xx?

Please state your budget......

I can almost guarantee a 7 series card is your answer, however.

i figure i can get about 60 for my current card and i have seen used 78xx go for 100 minus the haggling i should invest about 30 in a card.

If your budget is that low, I think we should probably know what the rest of your system is. No use pushing your budget on a card that's too powerful for the system.

But assuming you have at least a triple-core, this is what I'd get, and I'd get it right now: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127726

And by the way, you probably won't get $60 for a used 6770. That's fairly obvious based on your finding that 7000 series cards are going for $100 used. A 7850 is twice as fast as your card.

well firstly that the reason the budget is so low because of what im planning on investing on a phenom x6 and am3+ board. i can pick up a phenom x6 1090t or 1100t for under 90 if i watch craiglist. than the board doesnt need to be all that great as long as it can support pci express 2.0 and 2 ddr3 ram slots it should be good enough because their is not going to be any overclocking or crossfiring.
my card hasnt seen much use it almost brand new the fan was damaged while shipping and i couldnt return it so i was refunded for the fan replacement.
