Should I upgrade my video card now?

I'm running on an 3200+ 64bit, 9800 Pro, 1gb OCZ ram, 160 gb.

Should I consider updating to like a Sapphire x800 Pro and softmodded to XT PE speeds? If I do that, and it works, will that card run exactly like the real XT PE, I mean, will it get the same FPS in games?

Or should I go with a Nvidia 6800GT/ Ultra? or just wait and save till I can afford to get an x800XL and a pci-express motherboard?

Thanks

I think a lot of people are playing the waiting game. I'm about fed up with both ATI and Nvidia at the moment with all the delays and vaporware and smoke blown up everyone's asses. I used to trust both companies to do what they say, now I don't believe one word they put on paper or on the internet. If the X800XL makes it to market at the $299 price that looks like the best option. If what you have now is working you might want to wait.

edit - avoid Sapphire like the plague IMO, this one of mine is cheap junk and their newer cards dont' appear to be any better...

Could it be because you have a 9600 pro and not just because it's Sapphire??

Will the X800XL make it to AGP based users? Cause damn that would suck if they left us out ni teh wind... not everyone can upgrade to SLI?!
