Hey here is my system, xp2400+, 768mb pc2100, Fx5900 non ultra, 60gb hdd,
I am running all of this on a Asrock K7Vm2 mobo, with a Via KT266 chipset, i have two questions,

1. Is this a good system for gaming, will i be able to play with high settings in games

2. Ive read this chipset sucks, would it improve my gaming to get a board with nforce or KT600 chipsets?

Thanks

An NForce 2 mobo would be a nice improvement, but what you have should play games fine. If you do get a new mobo, get an NForce 2 based one.

That's based on the same chipset, I believe. Same should apply, though the Asus is probably a little better than the Asrock.

well the asus is probably a kt400 or kt333 chipset.

i dont expect quality to be much diifferent, as asrock is a division of asus. it also probably isnt worth buying an nforce2. sure it'd be faster, but not $70 faster.
