Should I upgrade my IPAQ with CF mem or IBM microdrive?

The think is that I can get a used micro drive with 340mb for $100, and new newegg 128cf mem for $60. However I heard the microdrive eats all he batteries in a flash. Anyone has the microdrive with an IPAQ to tell me how muh it last you?

supposedly the microdrive will half the ipaq's battery life, I'm using a CF card and it doesn't noticeably degrade the battery life. I'd go CF.
