Didn't want to hijack the other thread so I started a new one.

Im using Win 7 x64 bit and stuck on the fence about whether I should upgrade to 4gb or not. I do game a lot and multi task but it hasn't come to the point where I feel like I NEED an upgrade. Just wanted to know if there be any significant improvement.

System specs are in the sig.

How much RAM do you normally use? Right now according to Task Manager, I'm using 2.4GB, so for me it's worth it.

Windows 7 uses more RAM than I thought it did.

Sitting here right now, its at 900 mb. All I have are 3 windows on Chrome open and AVG antivirus in my notification area doing its passive thing.

Heck yeah upgrade! I found a good difference even going from 4 to 8GB. Pretty much everything I ever use caches itself and loads fast, even games.

Remember, with Vista and Win7, the more RAM the merrier. Forget about how much is being used at any one time; it will keep your programs in RAM so when you go to open them again they're already loaded.
