Should I switch majors?

I am currently a first semester junior and am majoring in CIS. The university has just started offering a CS major last semester. I have already taken alot of the courses that are required for CS, but I know there some that I haven't taken yet either. I will probably be in school for another year if I do.

I just hate CIS. Too much business crap!

I would go ahead and switch majors if I were you. You don't want to get into something that you do not enjoy. Although, how many of the business classes would you get away from by switching majors?

There is your answer. If you don't like your current major, then switch. No sense in pursuing something you hate.

True, True. I asked my dad about it because he pays for my college and he said that he could probably handle me switching, but I will be in college even longer! I just want to get a job and start on my carreer. College:disgust:

I say talk to your counselor bro. A bunch of anonymous faces isn't gonna give you the sort of advice you REALLY need since we don't know everything about your situation. But if you're asking I say drop out and try to get into pr0n in the San Fernando Valley :).

What good would your career be if you hated your job field??? A year's not too bad. But do take the advice about speaking with your advisor. Your advisor will be able to help give you some idea of what the switch would involve, etc.

Some courses might transfer over from CIS to CS (count as certain credits). I just switched majors from CS to MIS (because I think CS is boring as $hit) and about 95% of the classes I took were counted as credits of some sort for MIS....so I'm really not at all behind
