Should I stick with WinRAR or switch to 7-zip?

Last time I tried 7-Zip, it didn't support drag and drop very well.. I think because it has to support multiple platforms. I've used TugZip and Zip Genius before.. and they are good but they need a little pollishing.
I've been using WinRar on my new machine, but the trial is ending VERY soon.

I've never heard of 7-zip but I do use WinRAR. I just wonder if those promoting WinRAR also use it and have never tried the alternatives.

What is special about 7-zip that would make you want to change?

WinRAR ftw. I haven't used anything else and using anything else is just trying to be cool. j/k.

I like 7-zip for creating large archives...it takes advantage of multiple processors, so it cuts down the compression time by quite a bit sometimes. Not in all cases of course, because sometimes you'll be hard drive-limited...but I use it when it would be faster than WinRAR (which I use for everything else).

Winrar seems to be a bit better and more polished.

I've had a few experiences where 7-zip would not open known good zip files. Apparently there are three major programatical ways to create zip files (there are 100's of libraries, however.) 7-zip will not open some of these alternate methods.

More info Here

Don't get me wrong - I think 7-zip is a great tool but if I could only pick one....

I have Winrar, Winzip10, 7 Zip & Stuff It 7 ... most times use Winzip or Winrar .. there was a time when I had
some files that only Stuff It could unpack, but now I think most other can handle those files
