Hello everyone, i need your suggestions for what i should do with my card. First off who in here is familiar with ThugsRook GTU bios??? If you are you may be able to help me greatly. Here http://www.bleedinedge.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7215 for you guys non-familiar with it. Gt+Ultra bios combining features make it the best most powerful bios today.
I have a evga 6800 ultra/LE vid card. It is a special edition card that only evga made. Its clock speeds are 325/1100 and has 16pipes with 6 vetex shaders stock. See for yourself http://www.evga.com/products/pdf/N347.pdf however the only thing listed wrong on there is that there is 16pipelines stock not 12, and goes the same for all owners for this card. It basically a downclocked ultra with sam pcb board and everything. All features are unlocked. Recently ive been looking at EVGA's step up program for my card. I have heard in many forums that since evga no longer makes these cards that they will upgrade you to a 6800gt agp with a copper heatsink and $25 evga credit (pretty good deal). However im not looking for the best deal i am looking for the best performance.
My card currently running at its normal bios overclocked to 360/1182, not the thugs GTU bios yet(i dont want to void the warranty yet). I get about 4800 in 3dmark05 now. However this is not even stock its overclocked and i still get a relatively low score....I know stock 6800gt's get at least 5000+ stock not overclocked a bit. But I also know that with thugs GTU bios people with my card have acheived around 5500+ actually some bneched in the 6000's. But wouldnt the 6800gt overclocked be around here also??? that is my first question. My second is which card i should go with here?
My card now is crappy stock but is capable of remarkable scores if bios is flashed right, because it is an ultra in every way except downclocked by bios so technically if i flashed it to GTU bios it would be(please correct me if im wrong but i think the bios is the only thing limiting my card). PLease please please help me!!! im so confused about what to do i cant even concentrate until i get this sorted out. Thx for everyone who will be patient enough to read this all.😕
