If you are going to start watching it, don't watch Enterprise, it is horrible, and According to Branna Brega and Rich Berman, Enterprise is not in the same "universe" as TNG, DS9, VOY or the original series.
So far they've screwed it up by meeting klingons, having transporters, phase pistols, they use torpedos(thou not photon thank god)

I have 6 more episodes to watch, then I can say I've watched every single episode of TNG. I've watched pretty much every episode of Voyager too!

DS9 is fvcking stupid. Bajorins this, bajorins that, blah blah blah. Quark is a fvcking idiot bastard a$$ face who needs to be shot. Odo looks like walking Gefilte Fish with skin cancer. Sisco has a corn cob up his butt. The doctor is a limp wristed ninny boy. The whole show is the worst to to ever happen to anyone or anything.

TNG is the best of the bunch. I was die hard TNG, DS9, and Voyager fan, but I always say TNG is the best. If you want to watch the movies... First Contact is my personal fav. Rule of thumb is watch any even numbered one (except for the last one!) and never, NEVER watch ST III: The Search for Spock.

TNG and DS9 were the only Star Trek series that I liked.
I wasn't a big fan of the original or any of the ones after DS9, and the movies put me to sleep.

They haven't screwed up much of anything actually. Picard himself stated Klingons were first encountered "centuries" ago and that first contact with them proved to be disastrous due to no prime directive being established. Transporters never really had any established date of being around, aside from Geordi's comment that there were "more than a cenutry of evidence" to prove transporters were not dangerous; it could be said that NX01's transporters will later prove to be a health hazard and as such they will be banned for quite some time thereafter. And only phaser technology is strictly banned from being introduced, as Worf stated there were no phasers during the 22nd century.
It really is addictive. If you're a fan of Sci-fi, it's pretty much expected that you've seen them.
