Should I start watching Alias?

I'm a big fan of 24, and someone recommended this to me a while back but never bothered. Anyway, the 2 hour premiere looks great and I've heard great things about it, but I've never seen an episode. Will I be completely lost, concerning the plot and characters and more importantly, is the show worth watching?

Alias depends on its characters and related interaction a lot more than 24. I'd definately start with season 1 on DVD because there is a lot of history. Also, the series was a bit weak last year, so with season 1 you'll be seeing it at its best and be able to decide if you like it.

Alias rocks but I don't know how you'd have any idea wtf was going on if you just jumped in. It's an incredibly Awesome show but you shoudl really get a copy of the first few seasons and watch those so you can figure out what's going on. I can't imagine jumping in now with all the characters and tryign to know who is good or bad or otherwise...

whats your name?

ima...ima gonna kick your ass..*cuecrapsongfromnotalenthack*

wow, that sounds like quality entertainment there.

i gave it a shot when it first came out. tried to stomach 2 whole episodes, but couldnt. i honestly dont see how people can watch shows that are so trite and cheesy. but then again, im a cynical bastard and hate television, so im biased.
oh, and might as well add that garner chick looks like a skeleton. not sexy.

so i would answer no. but hey, you like 24, so who knows but you?

As a big fan of 24, no surprise there right? 😛 , If you want to really enjoy Alias, you need to watch the show in order 🙂

I'm sure the writers will not leave n00bs out in the cold.

But you certainly are missing a lot of good twists from before...

My favorite show by far was 24 before I started watching alias, I gotta say right now, both shows are tied as my favorite.
Highly recommend it

one of the worst, most embarrassingly stupid shows on television. it's success is testament to stupidity of tv watching public.

It's too late to start watching. Unless you watch all 3 seasons in a week like I did in order to catch up for the 2 hour season premiere of season 4.

record the new season. rent or buy the other seasons in order. its best that way.
its not the simpsons or something. but it'll be well worth it🙂
netflix is your friend
