Should I spend the extra $1.70 on CL2 memory (vs. CL3) from Crucial?

My friend has a P2 system, either running 66 mhz or 100 mhz. 133 MHz CAS3 would run fine at 100 MHz CAS2, right? Maybe its worth it for the future protection to spend the extra cash, even though his next system I"m sure wouldn't use SDRAM? Whatcha think?

Sure, what the heck. Don't look for any earth shattering difference other than the fact you have the peace of mind you have better RAM...

hehe now that I have everybody's attention - did P2's come with EDO, or only SDRAM? Or do I need to crack the case to make sure.

if you really want to save few bucks,
don't get crucial, get kingston valueram from dell when there is 20/25% off,
it'd be around $22 for CL3.

Don't bother. Crucial 133Mhz Cas3 ram will run @100Mhz cas2 EASILY.

I was in the same position a couple of months ago, I bought 133 CAS2 because the difference was only about 4 bucks over 100 CAS2 even if my comp only runs at 100 MHZ FSB. And if you ever want to sell it to someone later ....
