I'm about to graduate and think that i might not get as much use out of a laptop as i used to. I have a full pc setup at home, and never really use my laptop other than to surf the net from bed.

I have a 2 year old Ibm t42 with a warranty thru 09. I think i can get around 400-500 on it and get something else like a tablet PC. Im gonna start working some type of finance job soon, and think it might be best to sell the IBM , and get something smaller with an permanent internet connection for up to the minute news and such, and for reading documents and preparing things.

Do you think its worth it just to get rid of it now and pay the extra cash for a tablet? Or is there a better option?
