Should I return this External HD?

I bought a WD 250GB external harddrive that uses a usb connection. When I was formatting it, it would unregister the drive from windows a few times before I was successful. I was thinking maybe it was just a glitch, so far all files have on it seem to be fine. However, I tried to transfer a really large 4gb file onto it and it disconnected again before it finished. During both the disconnects the drive had been on for some time and was warm to the touch. I had some similar issues with my ipod, but it has been okay in the long run. So, I'm wondering if this is just normal glitchiness with external harddrives or should i return this thing?

Definately not. If you've had the same issues with your IPod USB connection, the problem could be with your computer.
Good Luck!

Or try deleting the partition and recreating the partition in NTFS then try what you already did again. If the problem goes away, you have the choice to keep it or return it. If it's still doing the same thing, better return it for another one.
