Blah blah stay with i7 940 and burn your money on a 780 or sli 770 or sli 780 or titan. My opinion you will have better improvement with it then upgrading the cpu with a 670.
For your information FSX is More CPU bound. It does not take advantage of SLI at all . I would do my research before making incorrect statements.

I would be more concerned about the msi mobo, they make junk; look at Gigabyte or Asus instead (just don't install any of the Asus software if you choose the latter! The company hires people in their software department to kill their great hardware so people will buy more motherboards).

These new processors suck. My decade old p4 hits 5ghz. GG GL have fun upgrade to prescott for double the speed.

I may be way off but a 4.6Ghz Haswell should be just a tab bit faster than a 10Ghz P4 on its best day. That doesn't even factor in the lack of x64 support, DDR3 RAM or any other necessary features since 2004.

GTX 770 is only $20 more and a nice bump faster. Regarding the CPU, its the best available and will still overclock decently to 4.3. It will be very fast and will easily max out any single GPU you throw at it. Build it!

Even a BIOS can give you 200mhz extra. So I would hold my breath ontil 1-2 months down the roads till BIOSes have had their initial tweaks. The FIVR is a new beast too for OCers.

Delidded haswell, 20 degrees drop and not a single Hz gained.. For overclocking haswell other parameters are in play. But it does beg the question why ES's clocked better, it doesnt point to bios maturity.. maybe its just the silicon lottery and avoid first batch ?
