Should I reset my ECU each time I change the engine air filter?

I know they say to do this after performing mods on the car, but I figure that replacing the air filter could alter the air:fuel ratio, so it might make sense to reset the ECU.

Should I do it, or just let the ECU "learn" on its own over time?

TIA

uhh no. If changing your air filter is enough to seriously improve the airflow to the engine, then you really need to change it more often 😛

Man, you guys just won't let me do anything to my Civic!!

Should I change my spark plugs prior to the manufacturer reccomended 100,000 miles? Are more expensive spark plugs better?

No and no.

If you want to make your Civic better, buy really good tires.

Is there a way to tell a difference between a true hypermiler and someone who doesn't come to a stop at a stop sign? 😛
TBH I don't know how you would tell. The stop sign thing is just someone being stupid.

Perhaps you could hypermile in your squad car. 😀

lol

I guess you're right. 🙂

Apparently a LSD helps distribute the power better while handing and applying the throttle at the same time.

Yes but you have a Civic that has no power to distribute anyways and when turning you are not supposed to be on the throttle. Learn to drive first before doing mods.
