Here's my setup

3 computers on a home lan(linksys 10/100 5 portHub) using Win98SE ICS
Main computer has 2 NIC's (one for modem, one for the hub connection)
The other 2 computers have one NIC connected into the HUB.

Is there any benefit of removing ICS software and replacing it with Sygate that came with
my networking kit?

There is little reason to switch to Sygate if your current setup serves you right... Sygate does offer a little more security, but with the proper network configuration, ICS can be just as secure....

If something ain't broken, don't fix it!

thanks for the replies.
I still have ICS installed. I did do some tweaks I read about that will make it morer secure.
I ran the port probe test from gibson research. All my ports are closed except 1 (it is stealth).

Guess I keep ICS

I use to run Sygate before I bought my router and it was pretty cool. Its nice software that has some weaks and tells alot about your network. I've never used ICS.
