Should I replace DIR-655 w/ a SonicWall Tz100?

Got a SonicWall TZ100 for free from a friend. I already have my DIR655 set up and I'm pretty satisfied with it. The only area in which I would like an upgrade is it's WiFi capabilities, but the TZ 100 I got doesn't have WiFi, so even if I did the replacement I would still have to use the DIR 655 as a WAP. If I could install DDWRT firmware on the TZ that would also compel me to install it, but this device isn't supported by DDWRT.

I have considered getting a separate, dual band WAP to increase the poor WiFi signal in my house, but never jumped the gun because I don't want to spend the money on this stuff right now.

I guess if I were unlazy I could sell the TZ and get a WAP.

SonicWall TZ10 has its advantage ( http://www.sonicwall.com/us/products/TZ_Series.html#tab=compare ).

There is nothing in your post that yields any technical information to make an evaluation.

Chances are that on Home network with End-users load it can not provide you with more action than a DD-WRT flashed Router.

However since you have it it does not take more than few hours to install it as a front Router and use the 655 as an Access Point and be your own judge.

i ordered a cheapo belkin that comes with dd-wrt pre installed (no bricking). looks good but man dd-wrt is buggy as heck still. memory leaks galore.
