Here was the auction

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...X:IT&item=190298611613

First round of the playoffs, Lakers home game 3. Clearly stated that this is actually game 5 of the series.

Buyer uses buy it now, sends paypal. Few minutes later I get an email saying they made a mistake that they wanted game 3 of the series(which isn't even in LA, which my auction clearly shows my tickets are for an LA game, not to mention clearly mentions which game).

They asked for a refund. I said it was clearly stated and not sure how they could have made such a mistake, and that sales were final. They have plenty of time to resell the tickets.

Now, usually I wouldn't give a shit, but I think the buyer is some woman, and maybe it was an honest mistake, and who knows if they are even smart enough to fix this problem, so I feel somewhat bad. I also don't want them to try to reverse the funds and fuck me over somehow, or give me negative feedback. Should I give in to this dumbass?

This went downhill fast. Locked since the OP isn't interested in any disagreement or advice and there's too much name-calling to clean up.

If you think you can resell them easily, refund her money. If you have to pay to relist, keep that much.

3rd home game. they play 2 games in LA, 2 at the opponent, and then the last 3 are LA,opponent,LA

so 3rd home game is the 5th of the series

Why would you even describe it like that? Why isn't "Lakers Game 5 tickets" good enough? Why make it confusing by saying "Game 3, which is Game 5!"

You were right but it really fuckin stupid to call it "game 3 or home game 3".
Nowhere else would anyone ever describe game 5 of the series as home game 3 or game 3 or whatever.
It's game 5.

I think I know why, since game 5 isn't guaranteed, calling it "home game 3" will attract more ppl by tricking them.

IMO your description is confusing. Refund her money & consider it a lesson learned. After being credited your fees you're not out much/any.

I agree with most of the people here, your description is confusing and misleading.

I would say the buyer is bullshitting. The season isn't over yet. Games are so close between the last 5 (Houston, Portland, NO, Utah, and Dallas) it's not even funny. It's not settled who the Lakers will be playing in game 3 so why would they be buying a ticket (for an away game) now when they don't have any real idea where it would be held?

Your description is terrible.

Sounds right to me

If they e-mailed a few minutes after buying, what's the reason for NOT refunding them? Don't you get to relist it for free if you file it as a non-paying buyer? If not, make them pay the listing feeds.

Terrible. The buyer deserves a refund. It's very very misleading and bordering on fraud.

You guys are fucking morons. go to ticketmaster and it is clearly labeled home game 3. Everywhere it is listed home game 3. check every ebay auction. the description isn't the problem. I state it CLEARLY in the description that it is actually the 5th game. How can you not tell the difference between a game in LA vs. a game somewhere else? the date listed isn't enough?

Refund. No question about it. The title was COMPLETELY misleading. I wouldn't be surprised if you were sued for this.

You are almost no worse then those douchebags selling Xbox 360 x-BOXES.

So you asked on the forum just so people could reply telling you that your description was horrible and then you could call them all morons?

Your description was poor. Face it and refund the buyer their money.

Tell us, why make it more confusing by writing "game 3, but it's game 5" vs just "game 5".

The only reason I can see is that you want to mislead people into thinking it's game 3 since game 5 isn't a guaranteed game. And that makes you a sh!tty ebay seller.

why the fuck would I want them to think it was game 3? so it was in dallas or some place it wouldn't be worth as much as an LA game? god damn. read again, ticketmaster lists it as home game 3. stubhub lists it as home game 3. every other auction on ebay lists it as home game 3.

the reason for the thread wasn't to debate the decription, which is clear as fucking day for any person with an ounce of sense, but whether or not I should give the person a break for being an idiot. I guess i'll send the tickets and tell them to suck it up

Re-re-re-refund.

i swear ATOT gets more batshit by the day
You're telling me. You post this thread for our opinions and then get all pissy when we don't agree with you. Face it, it's a shitty description and if it confused everybody here, it would certainly confuse everybody on E-bay as it did in this instance. Seriously, why do people still seem to insist that they are right when everybody says their wrong? Why even bother posting the thread?

read my last post above yours. if you see a problem, really, just kill yourself. My description is the same as everyone else on ebay, same as ticketmaster, same as stubhub, same as what is printed on the actual god damn ticket...
