Should I put the case here or under the desk?

The fan at the top of the case has very small room and about a couple of inches behind it.
Would air circulate properly?

I wouldn't do either...

Personally, I use a TV stand, next to my desk. This will give you room for a computer and a printer, plus a shelf underneath for a UPS and paper & ink supplies...

Your computer and printer will be at a perfect height - not on the floor and not on your desk - rather halfway in between!

Yeah, I like to keep my case at least 6 to 8 inches off the floor so it doesn't suck in so much dust.

If you use a TV stand, you don't need to get carried away! Just about any cheap stand will work: such as this.

These things are usually deep enough that the rubber feet on your case will fit the top with no problem, but be sure to double check.

Also, a lot of TV stands come with casters, which makes getting around to the backside easy!

if i were you, i would drill a hole on the upper shelve and put a fan grill
