My system is as follows:

Q6600 B3
IP35-E
4gigs of OCZ Plat Rev 2 6400
Thermalright XP120 Heatsink

right now i'm running 356x9 @ 1.375 Volts temps at idle in CoreTemp shows 36C-35C-34C-31C - But my bios is showing 46C - Have no idea what to believe. When i load up Orthos or a Game, coretemp and speedfan show it at 50-51C. Stability is rock solid, i'm wondering if i should try and push more, or do i stay at this?

My MCH is at 1.29 as i need it for the 4gigs of Ram to work. VTT is at default and Hlef i think is the name is at 63% its default setting as well.

thanks all in advance for advice.

is 3.2ghz fast enough for you? i mean if it does everything you want smoothly, there isnt a big point to push it too far if you want to keep the chip for a while. you can try for 3.4ghz (378 x 9) as your next step if you want to push it further, but that likely will be your peak OC. watch your voltages at the higher oc's though, it might take a load of extra volts to get it stable past a certain point. as a reference, for me, my e6600 can do 3.4ghz with 1.352v, but it needs 1.48v to do 3.6ghz.

IMHO, anything north of 3.0 - 3.2 ghz is gravy. Run it where it's stable and cool.

thanks all for the replies! I'm going to keep it at such. I do see a huge improvement in gaming and response time. thanks again :))
