Get the SLI-DR version of the DFI. An overclocked 165 will beat a stock 4400+. Will it beat an overclocked 4400+? No.

My original intention wasn't to overclock the 4400+ but if there can be someone else who has actually overclocked the 165 to the speeds suggested and it performed very well in games, my mind might be completely changed.

Check xtremesystems.com or extremeoverclocking.com they have stickies on OC benchmarks.

I'd say if you're looking to overclock grab the opteron 170 because it has a 10x multiplier and start with DDR 500 ram, that'll get you solid right at 2.5Ghz. Then work you way up to about 2.7-2.8Ghz and keep it stable.

Hopefully the DDR400 RAM is alright...

I still need some sort of guide I can look at for overclocking these Opterons.

Ok, as long as the overclocking of the 165 is feasible, I think I've made up my mind barring any serious issues one might have on these forums (I trust your judgement guys :p)

I looked at reviews of that 7800GT by EVGA and it got pretty good reviews. Thats the one thing that might still be up in the air.

I read a review about the CO version of the GT. It seems to have blown the guy away, and that excites me. Looks like thats what I'm getting, seeing as its somehow cheaper than the regular ones as well.
