should i play half life?

i never bothered to play the original (good old TFC and CS were my thing). my roommate at the time raved about it, and i saw a lot of him playing it. so, should i take a spin in the old girl or what?

Yes, it's a classic and a really fun game, even today. I bet it'd rock if you could get the high res blue shift models to work with HL:Source.

I have the Source version of HL (HL2 Collectors edition). You can find some crazy deals on Ebay for the CE if you can take a chance with the cd key.

I played it on my 50" DLP the other day. Great game, beat the game in a few hours. I played it before starting HL2 to get a better feel and understanding of the game.

I gave my HL cd and key away to my gf's younger brother.

Back when the game was fairly new I ended up getting to the second to last level and then my computer kind of died 🙁

I didn't end up starting over, and I guess I never will.

yeah...if you play for only 15minutes it is incredibly boring. If you play for 30minutes to an hour it doesn't get much better...but after that get ready..

It gets REALLY good.

the game for me was boring. I'd say if you want the better half of half life get half life 2.
