I have 1GB PC2100 DDR (2x512MB), will only go 140FSB, 2.5-3-3-6.
Palomino 1900+
Abit KR7A
GF 4 Ti 4400
I'm thinking of getting a new CPU, mobo and GFX card, but I don't have the money for all of it at the moment.
Here's my idea: Get a new mobo (nForce 2), with the money I have, and sell the Ti 4400, using the money to get a new CPU (T-bred) and heatsink.
I also have a 256MB stick of RAM that will give me nice room to overclock (should do 200MHz 2-2-2-6)
I could try selling some of the 1GB RAM and using that money to buy another stick of faster RAM.
I'd use the integrated GFX on the nForce 2 until I saved enough money for an ATi 9700/9500PRO, so I'd end up with something like:
nForce 2 mobo
512MB RAM
1700 or 1800+ T-bred overclocked to whatever
Radeon 9700 or 9500PRO (depending on money)
It's not really an increase in most areas on a basic level, but with overclocking of the CPU should give me a nice boost, and the gfx card would give me nice AA/AF.
