My specs are in my sig. I was gonna see if someone out there would wanna trade my setup for a similar Intel setup? Would it be worth it or should I just be damn happy with what I've got?

If you are thinking of Intel , wait till fall and play with their new swag, it will be much better then the netburst stuff they have now.

Stick with what you have, it is nice equipment.

With an X2 at 2.9 you would have a heck of a time getting an Intel setup that could keep up. I wouldn't switch. I've got my Presler@3.7ghz, which is the best I can do without a $200+ motherboard. Conroe will probably turn the tables, but that won't be out until at least the summer.

with a X2 @ 2.9 ghz, you'll need to find a 955EE 5Ghz if you want a "similar" setup on the intel side. however if you feel that that X2 still isnt good enough i'd *gladly* dispose of it for you :p

Thanks Stevty! I feel much better hearing it come from an Intel owning man. Btw, I've got my x2 running @3.1ghz, screen shots will be posted in the cpu section. Also, ty DarkKnight for your helpful input! Have a great day!

Hehe, yeah I realized that there's nothing Intel has to offer that would really even come close. I think I was just looking for reasons NOT to switch over as you can imagine how retardedly fast it is now.......now to get 2x7800gtx 512mb's :)

I saw some benchmarks, FX60 @ 2.9 Ghz routinely beat the 955XE Presler at 4.26 Ghz... so i'd wait for Conroe before considering Intel again.

Hey Stevty2889, how's that Dotha core? I have a P4P800 Deluxe lying around. I wanted to see how fast they were? I've heard rumors of o/c'ed Dothans being faster than the FX's. True?

Hey Chappie, I'm all set :). Thank you for the kind words about the system. I did work pretty hard to find all the pieces to get it to where it is today. So that's very much appreciated.

For gaming clock for clock it seems to keep up really well with my X2. I run it at 2.4ghz, with the dinky little heatsink from the CT-479 adaptor, and stock voltage. Nice and quiet, and a pretty decent chip. In a SFF system, makes for a great portable gaming rig.
