I've heard it's got great weather. That's really all I'm interested in at this point.

In all seriousness, does anybody here have any feelings about this one way or the other?

Woah, I just realized something..... CA isn't very sales tax friendly, is it? :Q

What's COL?

Anyways, I live in SD and it DOES have nice weather and nice neighborhoods, but very expensive. BUT IT DOES HAVE NICE WEATHER :).

As many have recommended, you would really need to find a job before you move. Or, you should really have a lot of savings.

Consequently, what are you majoring in (assuming you are in college right now)? San Diego is a really good place for biotechnology. Unfortunately, I don't know how much hiring they do.

COST OF LIVING

as in a Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) given to federal employees.

oh wait i know you...wtf..aha ok..stupid!!

well, last time our living room was hot because alex came over w/ his computer and for some reason, his computer alone raised our apt's temperature 10 deg. higher than outside temperature...

so that's why it was hot..it never never hits 90 here...

Expensive? It must have been a long time since I lived there. I'm from San Diego (Chula Vista, to be specific), and it's not expensive (relatively) at all. I'm not talking about the mansions or the ritzy places in La Jolla, but you can still find a good place at a reasonable price.

Or maybe its just that i'm too used to the COL in bay area, where its much more expensive.

No I was in Hubert's room and he had his fan on, but was still hot(for sd). I don't think Alex was there, not sure though.

I too want to get outta Tucson AZ.... but COL is very cheap here .... I have a nice one bedroom for 425.00 . But jobs here are terrible ....

If I room with someone and have my own car.... Would I be ok? I figured I could move with $2k and wait tables and hunt for a decent job in the mornings.....
