Should I lap my CPU also?????? NEVERMIND

NO!!! If you lap the processor you potentially can destroy or damage the die, which in turn, makes your processor unusable.

Do not lap your CPU. Lap the crap out of the HS, and use Arctic Silver thermal compound and you'll really like the results. A good lap and some AS dropped my idle temps by 4C. A considerable drop for about 4 hours of my time and about $15 for the sandpaper/AS.
 
MichaelD - What grit paper did you use? I used one of those ScotchBrite pads for doing the dishes. Real good finish and some knockoff thermal compound got me down from 55C to 49C.

Wow, I can't imagine it taking more than 30 minutes to get it to a nice micro finish.
