Should I kill ladybugs?

Spring is pretty much 'here' and there are quite a few flying around my house.

I also had a traumatic experience when I was 6, I stepped on a ladybug, and a girl punched me. "I DID NOT CRY"😱

But, I did feel very bad, and it may or may not have been my dividing path towards Evil-ness :sneaky:.
 
went hiking at a waterfall once and there were swarms of them. theyre pretty annoying when there are thousands of them.
 
There are two types. I get the Asian Lady Beetles in my house a lot. They look like lady bugs except they have orange shells. They also release a foul smell if you squish them. They are considered a pest. Best way to get rid of them is to vacuum them up.

The basic law of insects are to reproduce until they can take over whatever. The only thing keeping us back is the weak-hearted!

Woah that's crazy!

I actually saw my first bug of the year the other day, a moth. VERY unusual for this time of year. In fact, almost all the snow is gone, it's quite phenomenal. I have a feeling we have a storm coming though, this can't be actual spring, it's only March.
 
They come in the house in the fall, and leave in the spring. Open a window for them, and let them do their thing.
 
No, if you have access to 1000s of them, you can sell them. I heard of people going to where the Ladybugs breed and vacuuming them up into special vacuum. Then you can sell them to plant stores and stuff b/c people buy them to keep other pests like aphids away. $$$
 
As it was said, those are not lady bugs but the stinky asian ones.

They also can have red shells like normal ladybugs and we get them here once in awhile.

Wowowo, I've killed and eaten plenty of bad ass things in the past.

Among the weird ones, tarantula and scorpion. tarantula kinda taste like crab, scorpion just a little sour and goo-y, maybe it was the sauce.

This is just one of those, social etiquette situations that I am unsure of. :hmm:

The thing is they are not Ladybugs but those asian beetles and those are pests and they even damage crops instead of helping them, not to mention they even eat regular ladybugs.
 
Letting all helpful bugs live is not always the right solution, just my opinion.

Bugs infesting into homes, human habitats are often a sign of a population's exponential growth be it due to some reason, usually from an abundance in prey to feed on.

But as all organisms that experience exponential growth, they will 'crash' in the end due to shortage of food, habitat or various reasons.

This in results in possibly allowing the original pests to return and make a quick comeback and thus cause more damage until the solution bugs are reintroduced again.

This just another example to why it is good to keep things in moderation. Simple biomass pyramid example is a better way to put it.

They don't damage crops. They provide every benefit native lady bugs do. They do affect native populations though, but their benefit outweighs the negatives.

Yea those things are evil, my mom gets them at her house. They destroy everything. They eat paint and bite people too, it doesn't hurt but it's pretty annoying. I tried to help her get rid of them by vacuuming them up which worked wonders for about a week then her ceiling was mostly covered again.
