Should I keep this Samsung SM841 SSD?

I purchased a SM841 SSD from Amazon (Was listed under 840 Pro) that was pulled from laptops. The speeds, according to CrystalDiskMark, are decent (Sequential 500MB W/R were 470ish). However, Samsung Magician does not recognize this SSD as a Samsung SSD and there appear to be no firmware updates. Are there any crucial benefits of Samsung Magician? Are there any generic TRIM programs I can use with this SSD? Thanks for your responses in advance.

Windows 7 or 8 has built in TRIM. It can be validated through running the command
fsutil behavior query DisableDeleteNotify
(open command prompt as administrator)

As was mentioned, if you have win 7/8 then no real loss of not using magician.
Just make sure you turn off defrag for the SSD.

You can use crystaldiskinfo to monitor SSD health if you want as well.

I spaced out and forgot that windows 7 feature. After looking at Samsung Magician's feature, it looks like RAPID is the best (And most dangerous) feature available as well. I guess I'll keep the SSD. Thanks again.

Edit: Thanks as well Elixer (Post appeared as I went to make a post). Now I'm absolute sure of my decision.

Trim runs automatically in Win7/8. And you do not have to "not defrag" Win7/8 recognizes SSDs and does not defrag them. Just optimize, which is the TRIM command. Since its a OEM SSD Magician will not recognize it or offer you firmware updates.
