Should I keep this extra stick of ram?

I though I had defective ram but it turns out that I didn't. (long story)
I got an RMA number to return it.

I only paid $71 for each stick of 256 MB PC2100 crucial ram.

They are now $90+.

Should I keep it since it isn't defective and the price of ram is sky rocketing?

Or should I return it because prices may drop very low again?

I really do not need 512 MB of ram.

You should get rid of it by sending it to me.

Seriously, keep it. Although you say you don't need 512 megs of ram, you probably do 😀

What OS are you running? If you are using Windows XP, then it would really help the performance. 256MB is actually almost not enough these days.

Windows 98SE

The problem I'm having is what if the price of ram drops to $7.00 per 256 MB stick.

I'll be p!ssed !

Also how long will PC2100 be "top of the line"?
Will I have to buy PC5400 next year for a different motherboard.

I'm not rich by any means and I absolutley HATE wasteing money!

its not gonna drop that low! 😛

just keep it... you will eventually need it, and hey, a lil ram is always nice... 😛

If you have really descided that you don't want or need the ram at all, and you can sell it for almost the same price that you paid for it, then I would suggest selling it. But if you will ever need it in the near future for a new PC build, then keep it.
