Should I join the US Army Special Forces?

aka Green Beret. Im in college right now, and im thinking of graduating with my BS degree, and join in the Army as an officer, and then attempt for SF.

If that's what you really want, go for it. My wife's cousin is getting out this summer after 20 years in the Air Force. He'll be getting a pretty good monthly retirement paycheck from the Air Force while probably getting a pretty good IT job.

If you're thinking about it, I highly suggest you start running a few miles per day, doing at least a hundred push-ups per day, a bit of swimming, and start all this immediately.

Ya. Not to brag, before i left for college, i was really close to joinging the Navy, and trying out for Navy Seals.

How is that bragging? TRYING and DOING are two different things. If you said you were in fact a Navy Seal then you earned bragging rights.

No way, I was SERIOUSLY THINKING about joining nasa, with hopes to be the first guy on Mars. Not to brag though ;)

Do you have any idea how many people I saw get washed out of USAF SF training? Quite a few, and most of them were in great shape. It takes a lot more than that.
